Research Interests(March, 2025 edition)
My research interests are the statistical analyses on economic/management
data
and their statistical properties.
In particular, I have been interested in the following issues;
1. Statistical Methods
- Time series analysis (including multivariate and non-stationary) and its
application for economic/management data.
- Small sample properties of the non-parametric density estimation and the
kernel regression; their applications.
2. History of Statistical Thought << Current Main Interests >>
- History of statistics and econometrics.
- Economic methodology, Scientific philosophy (After Logical Positivism).
3. Empirical Analyses
A. Financial Econometrics (Empirical Finace, Empirical Financial Accounting)
- Empirical analysis on earnings management
- Empirical analysis on the credit ratings
B. Labor Economics and Human Resource Management
- Economical and sociological analysis on job seeking behavior of Japanese
university students.
- Career path formation via MBA course.
C. Cliometrics and Business History
- Empirical historical analysis of industrial agglomerations.
- Empirical historical analysis of scientific management and quality control.
4. Others
- Business Anthropology and Economic Anthropology.
- Globalization and Localization.
